The Idaho Financial Literacy Coalition, a state affiliate of the Jump$tart Coalition for Personal Financial Literacy, provides resources, speakers, and opportunities to promote financial education across the state of Idaho.

Please join us in our efforts by attending a Coalition meeting, participating as a sponsor in our annual Piggy Bank Beauty Contest, or simply by having a conversation about personal finances with your own children, nieces, nephews or other children and adolescents.

Our Mission:
To improve the quantity and quality of personal financial information and educational programs of Idahoans by providing resources and education to teachers, youth leaders and others in need of assistance or at financial risk.

News and Upcoming Activities At a Glance:

Winners of Idaho's 3rd Annual Piggy Bank Beauty Contest will be recognized in Governor Otter's Ceremonial Office on Wednesday, April 3 at noon. Lt Governor Brad Little will also read the governor's proclamation designating April as Financial Literacy Month in Idaho. Click here to RSVP if you're interested in attending, as space is limited.

MEMBERSHIP GUIDELINES: Please see our updated Bylaws (Section 1) for the details on Coalition membership requirements. The Coalition Board voted in January 2010 to replace annual membership dues with a participation model. Simply put, for new members, you must attend two Coalition activities/meetings within a 12-month period to qualify for membership, then attend two Coalition activities a year to maintain membership.
