Karen Richel
is an Extension educator with the University of Idaho/Latah
County Extension office. Although she works with all family
and consumer science topics, her area of passion is personal
finance. She caters to low-income families and poverty level
groups in Latah County, North Central Idaho and Northern
Idaho by offering classes, workshops and one-on-one
sessions.
Karen’s goal
is to help others build a strong financial foundation for a
balanced financial life. After graduating from Virginia Tech
with a B.S. in Family Financial Management and an M.S. in
Family and Consumer Sciences, she came home to do just that.
Her subject matter ranges from building a budget and debt
management to identity theft and consumer rights (and
everything in between).
Karen was elected
Regional Committee Chair in 2009. |
